Restore Point Types
RestoreIT! includes four different types of restore points. The remainder of this technical note describes these restore point types.

Static Restore Point-Locked
A locked static restore point is an image file of all data stored on the selected drive that is protected from being deleted.

Static Restore Point-Unlocked
An unlocked static restore point is an image file of all data stored on the selected drive that is not protected from being deleted. A static restore point is unlocked so it can be deleted.

Normal Incremental Restore Point
An incremental restore point backs up only files that have been modified. Multiple incremental restore points can be created for the same drive.

Untrusted Incremental Restore Point
At system startup, RestoreIT! checks the data integrity of the latest incremental restore point. It is marked as un-trusted if RestoreIT! finds any inconsistencies.
